Enrolment and Orientation
Once you have toured our centre and have chosen us to be your trusted childcare provider, we will then commence the enrolment and orientation process. Orientation is an important start for your child and family to connect with our centre. We encourage each child to attend our centre in the company of a family member before they start their first day with us.
This gives you and your child the opportunity to gain an understanding of our program, the lay out of the room, where to put your child’s belongings, provide educators with additional information about your child and how we can best support their transition and settling in period.
To enrol at Riverdale, all children will require:
completed enrolment form
signed Complying Written Arrangement (CWA)
copy of up to date immunisation record
copy of child’s birth certificate
copy of ASCIA medical management plans (if applicable)
copy of court orders and parenting plans (if applicable)
Fees and Childcare Subsidy
Our daily fee for Centre based care is $147.00 per day, before Childcare Subsidy (CCS) has been applied.
Our sessional fee is: $98.00 for a half day 6.30am-12.00pm or 12.00pm-6.30pm, before Childcare Subsidy (CCS) has been applied.
Before school care fee is $46.00 per session, before Childcare Subsidy (CCS) has been applied.
After school care fee is $61.00 per session, before Childcare Subsidy (CCS) has been applied.
Vacation care and pupil free days are charged as either an incursion $131.00 per day and/or excursion $141.00 per day, before Childcare Subsidy (CCS) has been applied.
We are an approved provider to receive the Childcare Subsidy. Each family’s entitlements are specific to them, based on income and activity hours. All families will need to confirm their child’s enrolment through their MyGov for any Childcare Subsidy to be applied to their fees.
All fees are deducted by Direct Debit including one week in advance.

Philosophy
Sun Safety
Here at Riverdale we are proud to be a SunSmart member through the Cancer Council Australia. The health and safety of children and staff are prioritised by actively promoting sun safety practices. This includes supplying all children with a bucket hat, encouraging protective clothing, and providing SPF50 sunscreen to reduce exposure to harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation.
Outdoor activities are carefully planned outside peak UV times where possible, and shaded areas are provided to create safer play environments. Our staff also play an important role in educating children about the importance of protecting their skin and developing lifelong sun-safe habits by creating a supportive environment and modelling good SunSmart behaviour.
Key SunSmart practices we follow:
All staff and children wear a bucket hat, supplied by the centre
Applying SPF50 sunscreen regularly
Wearing protective clothing (e.g. shoulders covered at all times )
Seeking shade, especially during peak UV times (10am–4pm)
Scheduling outdoor activities outside high UV periods where possible
Providing and maintaining shaded play areas
Checking daily UV index levels to guide sun protection
Encouraging and teaching children about sun safety habits
Role modelling sun-safe behaviours by staff
